July 26 Committee meeting – minutes

Last week (14 July 2026) your committee met to check in on our progress for the year, share ideas and plan out details for the next 12 months.

Here’s a summary of what we discussed.

Checking in our strategy

Ben recapped our main goals to focus on over the next 12 months:

  • Continue supporting and celebrating all our members, and helping Associate Members grow in their craft and impact
  • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships (especially with IAF Oceania) for more awareness and collaboration between graphic recorders and meeting facilitators
  • Streamline our tech and systems
  • Keep conducting events over the rest of 2026 and into 2027

As Deb has said, every meeting that matters should have a facilitator AND a graphic recorder for maximum impact.

Update on member communications

Since our AGM in March, we’ve done 3 email newsletters, 11 LinkedIn posts, 5 Instagram posts, and 3 Facebook posts.

Update on events

We’ve had 4 events this year so far and two more locked in:

More events are being planned as you read this!

Events are the best way to connect with other members, so we’re always excited to run them, and keen to hear from you if there are any topics you’d like covered!

We’re really looking forward to the IAF Oceania Geelong conference, 14-16 October 2026, as well as (obviously!) having the biggest GRA crew we can get there, to live scribe (or shadow others live scribing) during the various workshops. If you’re keen to know more and join us, for one or more days, contact us!
