I’m always looking at ways to explain graphic recording to someone who is new to the field, or to a prospect who has inquired about the surface but never worked with a graphic recorder before.

I’ve realised there are actually six lenses through which graphic recording can be viewed. These lenses might seem obvious to us, but for people outside the graphic recording world, this could be a helpful way to explain how we do what we do, and the advantages that one form of graphic recording might have over another.

Lo and behold, the six lenses of graphic recording!

I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether this way of presenting graphic recording is useful, and if there are any other lenses that I haven’t thought of!
